Hi,

I'm using a 20gig IDE Travan tape drive to backup my sme server (machine #1).  I tried to restore my IDE drive backup onto another machine (#2) with a SCSI tape drive.  The scsi drive on machine #2 was recognized up by SME7 automatically so I didn't do any configuration.  I tried to restore the tape on machine #2.  The drive spun and it sounded like it was doing something.  After a couple of minutes, the admin browser reported that the restore failed.  Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong or need to do to prepare the SCSI drive?

SCSI tape restore should work. If it doesn't, there's a bug somewhere. Please submit a bug report via the Bug Tracker.
