Topic: Smart array can't view my tape drive

I have Proliant DL350 and my HDD it's ok. I use port #1 for scsi tape drive but Linux can't see my tape. When i use an adaptec AHA-2940 the drive can work perfectly. With Smart Array, i tried two kind on tape and i just see "Port #1 Scsi ID#2 on boot.

The smart array controllers are SCSI RAID controllers. To my knowledge tapedrives don't work well on SCSI RAID controllers. Dit it work with another OS?
