I have just installed my first RAID 1 SME Server V5.1.2 on an Asus CUSI MB with Celeron 950, 256mb PC133, and 2 Maxor Diamond Max 20G HD's. The Hard drives were purchased at the same store and are the same model but seem to show up in the BIOS as 20495 Mb and 20002 Mb, both were installed out of the box. Tried this on another MB and the same was true. Anyway, the install goes fine and server operates, albiet slowly and will not start without a boot floppy, but the strange thing is the partition size just ends up wacked. A df shows a / part on md0 of 9.4G and a boot part on md1 of 64mb - the rest is unusable. Any pointers on this? I have two identical boxes with single Maxtor 20G without RAID 1 and they purr like kittens. Thanks in advance.
