Topic: SME 7.0RC3 webserver and pptp stopped

Hi,

I administer SME server for a small shop. It's been running great for about 8 months (it is SME7.0RC3 that was originally installed). I have recently noticed that both the server-manager pages and the basic web pages (from the primary ibay) have stopped functioning.

pptp access has also stopped working.

What is strange, is that everything else seems to be fine. Rebooting has not cleared the problem. The machine is not normally connected to a keyboard or monitor, and just sits quietly (normally) doing it's thing.

It's a little difficult to search for this, and I'm not a frequent visitor to these forums (no need to, when SME server just works so well!!). Can anyone shed some light as to what may be wrong???

1) Read the FAQ about the correct upgrade steps, & yum repositories to have enabled first.

Then upgrade that server to the latest release using the steps outlined above using yum (at the command line).

2) Part of the upgrade process will include
signal-event post-upgrade
reboot
so make sure you do those

3) Then see if you still have problems. If so search the log files using server manager View log files for any possible clues/error messages and report the pertinent parts back here.
Otherwise report that everything is working OK now.
