ack! the firewall in sme server is driving me nuts! :P I like the fact that this is a supersafe server, But I am having troubles with getting my ktorrent to work from behind it. Even if I open up the ports set in ktorrent...

Anyway I can turn the firewall off? alternativly is there any nat settings? Open the firewall up totaly

You can forward the ports via server-manager and it should work (does so on my workstation).
"It should just work" if it doesn't report it. Thanks!

hmm yea I do but it doesn't seem to be enough, are you running ktorrent?

That would be an extremely unwise thing to do.

Check the Developer Manual, it gives examples of db commands re enabling services to work on specified ports. You need to do that as well as forward ports in the server manager panel.

I run bittorrent and i had to forward two ports and it all worked well. But i did have a problem with some clients (utorrent) which still reported the port as closed.
"It should just work" if it doesn't report it. Thanks!
