It depends on what you are looking to do. A pay for contrib at dungog (http://sme.dungog.net/packages/smeserver/7.0/i386/html/index_dungogMembers.html) works quite well for backing up remote servers

ahh I probably should have mentioned that. Well, I'm planning one SME Server to be the backup server and have another SME Server off-site to be the client.

Michael Weinberger's Affa is specifically designed to do this, including the ability to "instantly" turn the backup server into the primary server in an emergency.

Install & Configuration is done using the command line, but is very easy.
