Hi everyone,
SAIL-507 is ready for download from the usual place...
ftp://81.149.154.14/Pre-Releases507 has some cool new stuff in it. For all of you who asked for outbound call authorization, we have done a nice integration for you in 507. You will find a new file in headers called
selauth.conf. In it you place authorization codes. Authorization is enforced at the Route level. So, you might have a route called LOCAL, which goes out over the PSTN to local numbers. You can elect NOT to have authorization enforced over this route by switching off the autorization setting in the route. Similarly, you might have NATIONAL, INTERNATIONAL and MOBILE routes (or anything else you can think of - maybe a route for primary rate numbers or satellite calls - if you do any) and you can decide at each level whether you want to apply authorization or not. Authorization codes are reflected in the resulting CDR's.
Also in 507, we have made the busy and congested announcements switchable. A lot of our customers dislike the vocal "please try again later" anouncements, so instead, in 507, you can elect to have standard busy and congestion tones if you wish. They are selectable in Globals.
We had a complaint from a customer a couple of weeks ago. His VoIP internet line had gone down (the router had overheated and failed) but he didn't know because SARK was quietly re-routing his calls over his digital circuits. He only realized something was wrong when he got his phone bill! So, now you can have SARK/SAIL put an audible beep onto the line each time it fails over from one carrier to another. It can be set in Globals.
Finally, we've removed a lot of older Asterisk rpms from Ibiblio and put up a lot of new ones (including the latest 1.2 and 1.4 items). We will build a matrix and put it onto the docs site over the next few days. This should make it easier to decide what rpms to load with which version of SAIL.
Kind Regards
Selintra
