Openfire, trouble starting
« on: September 16, 2007, 10:13:07 AM »
Hi, I've installed the rpm: openfire-3.3.2-1.i386.rpm, but have trouble starting the server. I had to manually configure the firewall in SME so it would let the traffic pass by. I've got the server running but when I run '/opt/openfire/bin/openfire start' the server boots. But the first thing that is written to the terminal is ls: /usr/java/j*: No such file or directory.

The jabber server starting but terminal window is stalled, can't get back to the bash prompt. If I close the connection to the server (using putty) the jabber server closes. The same if I press CTRL-c, the only way getting the prompt back.

Regards,
Tias

hi

remove openfire, do
Code: [Select]
signal-event post-upgrade
signal-event reboot

then, please, read the manual... ;-)
