anybody suggest a good howto on how to setup samba for SME ?
« on: October 24, 2007, 08:36:13 PM »
Exactly as the title asks :

Can anybody suggest a good howto on how to setup samba for SME ?

Specifically any cofiguration information and steps to make it work correctly as a networked shared drive?

and... any other suggestions related to sme and samba.

 Thank you in advance,

 Spyrule.

It is already installed and well integrated into SME.
Create ibays and give correct group ownership to them. All the samba sharing configuration is handled automatically for you. Users homedirectories are created automatically as well.
Check in the server-manager/workgroup section correct workgroup and server name.
Its all in the manual. Very helpful reading (hint!)

Thanks guys,

TBH, I read the manual a long time ago for an older version (and so I should re-read it at this point).

Funny thing was, I knew it was integrated, I just didn't know how to access/take advantage of it.

I have since figured it out.

 Thank you very much guys.

 cheers,

 Spyrule.
