I need some advice on installing Firebird on SME 7.2

The version I need is 1.5. The download pages in the firebird file repository show two different rpm's, "Superserver for Linux (old threading model)" and "Superserver for linux (NPTL threading model)". Which one do I need? Or in other words: does the SME 7.2 kernel support NPTL?
