Topic: How to both ISDN channels open

I just installed sme server and gateway and i connect ot internet whit isdn.
but my isdn works only in half mode (64K) how can i get the true speed 128k????
Please help me i'm truly newbie whit linux.

Isdn use Winbods chip.

Hi Eeriki,

You are correct, the system has not been designed (yet) for channel-bundling!!
At present 64k is supported, no more.

Before the release of the present system, a few people put a lot of time into making isdn part of the system.

The basic system is working as you noticed, but there simply has not been the demand for channelbundling. (I have not seen it on the lists anyway) If you want a chance to learn linux/sme/isdn, than here is your opportunity!

If you do a search in all the forums for isdn, you will find enough info to get started.
If you need a solution with channelbundling NOW, look at www.fli4l.de.

When I need a 128k solution, I'll use a fli4l box, 10 minutes work, and give another old computer a good home!
 
hint: if you type isdnctrl at the prompt, you'll see lots of possibilities!

Is it and internal or external ISDN modem?? I use my ISDN at 128kbps (actually 115 Kbps, is an external modem connected on the serial port), I can do this because my modem is capable to do it. I configured the modem on windows, I set it to use both channels (or one, that's depends on my needs), so the modem is the one that do the job, not e-smith!!

At least, that's right for me!!

My isdn is internal and use Winbonds chipset.

i looked yesterday my starting logs and e-smit tells that there is two channel in isdn. But i cannot find a file where do i have to edit that slave channel. To get it work.
If someone have get it right please advice me. i paid my isdn lines both channels mounthly even if one or even none are open. So it's waist of money if i cannot get it work in two channel.
