There is a how to in the wiki for adding a hard drive.

After a hard drive is added the how-to shows moving an ibay over.

Can I move a mysql database or all of mysql in a comparable manner?

You would need to mount the added drive and then copy
(to templates-custom to preserve with updates...RTM) and change the template-

/etc/e-smith/templates/etc/my.cnf/008datadir

to reflect the location mounted. However, security of your db's is a major issue here. Don't mount to a web access area or other non-secure drive location.

I have never done this, nor had a need to. You could mess some things up if not done correctly. One thing I have learned... Don't mess with things that work, that you are not very informed about. As an example, note how many users in the forum have asked how to revert their system after upgrading php or mysql or some other core set of packages to a non-SME-supported version. If you just use SME and don't do stuff like that, it works
