performed an upgrade from 7.13 to 7.2 from cd and now it doesn't recognise the nics and fails to load drivers.

Have you tried configuring the server again throught the prompt (login as admin)?

tried signal-event post-upgrade signal-event reboot?

You might provide some more information.

Add a bug to the bugtracker and post the link to the bug here.
