Do we loose the Bayes table in spamassassin on update?
« on: January 28, 2008, 04:00:08 PM »
Does the bayes table get deleted when Spamassassin is updated?  I am seeing more spam on my newly updated servers and am wondering if the training that has been done has been lost.

If you report this as a bug, post the tracker here. I *think* that there's some kind of truth to your suspicions as I seem to remember having to re-add to my whitelist after some updates...

I've got nothing concrete to show this and have now started keeping a list of the addresses that I add to the SA White and Black lists.

I can deny this - the whitelist has been preserved fine across the latest SA update, on my server anyway.

I'm not saying that it's happening with every update because I update fairly frequently.

But I'm sure that I added *@yahoogroups.com on both of my servers before and several groups emails from said domain are once again being tagged as spam and put in the junkmail folder. Perhaps it's a different issue than yours.

I'll open my own ticket if I can't get this resolved in the next few days.
