Installed wordpress...permissions error
« on: March 05, 2008, 11:59:57 PM »
Hi all.....back again

I have searched high and low for this particular problem, but have yet to find it. I installed Worpress a bit ago using the contrib directions

yum --enablerepo=smecontribs install smeserver-wordpress

Then a signal-event post-upgrade; signal-event reboot

Once it rebooted, all website/access results in a 403 no permission error.

I have uninstalled it and now everything is back to normal. I looked in bug tracker and could not find anything there either .Any ideas what went wrong?

Also....the contrib has this as the install command yum enablerepo=smecontribs install smeserver-wordpress which obviously does not work.

EDIT: Darn...sorry wrong forum, can a mod move this please?

Thanks in advance,
Grattan

Well if you had reported your problem to the bugtracker in the smeserver-wordpress category, then someone may have looked at the issue.
As you have now uninstalled and chosen to run away from the problem, how do you expect anyone to fix it ?

I have now entered it into bug tracker. I was searching for any wordpress, but had not logged in. There is still nothing relevent to my issue, but I have submitted a bug.

I did not run away from the problem, I could not let the website be down while awaiting a solution. The fact that I could reproduce it I knew I would come back to it.

Update: I did install it on another server without issue. Where would I look for a change in the / permissioning?
