EZMLM and Mailman contribs already exist for SME and I can't decide which to use ... anybody have any stories and/or recommendations they want to share?

I prefer mailman as it gives you the ability to delegate list administration to other users, and the web management aspect is quite comprehensive.

I have used ezmlm for many years, I am quite happy with it.

Speaking of ezmlm ... I have installed
Code: [Select]
perl-Ezmlm-0.03.1-SME7
ezmlm-toaster-0.53.324-1.2.5
ezmlm-web-2.1-SME7
e-smith-ezmlm-web-1.1.1-SME7
In rmitchell's contrib area I find
Code: [Select]
ezmlm-idx-std-5.0.2-7sme1.i386.rpm
ezmlm-web-2.3-01sme02.i386.rpm
perl-Ezmlm-0.07-1.noarch.rpm
smeserver-ezmlm-web-1.1.2-11.noarch.rpm
These files seem newer, so should I upgrade? Can I simply install the new rpm-files on top of the old ones?

Kind regards,
Jesper

I would not do a straight upgrade, something will probably break.

I think they are all generally based on the same "earlier" source code, but they are now slightly different rpms, as best as I can tell.
Look at the changelog for all the rpms to see what's going on.

The ones in my contribs folder come from Gordon Rowells WIP folder on his private server.

This Howto is based on those.
