IMP upgrade?
« on: April 18, 2002, 03:43:42 AM »
I have been playing with SME Server v5 for about 3 days now... and I am curious on how to upgrade the IMP and/org Horde mail. I have already downloaded v3.0 of IMP and reading through the INSTALL notes it tells me to...

   cd /usr/local/apache/htdocs/horde
   tar zxvf /path/to/imp-3.0.tar.gz
   mv imp-3.0 imp

Doing a FIND i have found that there is no apache directory where it shows above...

Can anyone help me through this or at least point me in the correct way?

Thanks for any help that you can lend... :-)

Followed Dan's easy to use upgrade information and it worked. Only have one problem. I tried to import an address book from Outlook into it and it just comes up a blank page. Any ideas anybody?

AFAIK, there's no facility to import an outlook address book.  How were you trying to do this?

I did this after I 1st switched to IMP3.  I exported my Contact List from Outlook 2000 to a csv file I think it was, then modified it a little in Excel, then Imported it using the tool provided in the Addressbook of IMP.  It did take some playing with, but got the job done.  I probably could have typed everything back in quicker then it took to do the rearranging and importing, but the final result was the same.

Boy that sounds like a lot of trouble to convert all those f iles. To bad the inporter program doesn't work for Outlook files directly. Terry Brummell wrote:
