I suggest closing this thread as the topic reads: "Super User account? Permissions Problem" and not something like "Super User account? Interpretation Problem" ;-)

I agree that it should have closed well before my comment electroman00:

I was trying to lighten it up, yet sure as %$##, you throw another barb regarding my comment to Ray regarding his new server. I watched this topic all the way through, and I have to admit, there is some pompous attitude from the experts in the group that have appeared over the 3+ years I have been a member of the community.

I truly respect some of the members, such as Ray. Over the years his comments have been quite helpful, and sometimes a bit harsh, but I understood his point and took the feedback as a mentor to a student. That being said, I think the community including experts/developer/moderators needs to take a step back and think before posting. While most of the time the posts may not come of as "barbed," please remember that there is no tonation in forums (other than  :) :( :x ). So the casual user may see some of these posts/comments as rude.

Just my $0.02 worth before it closes.

I understand what your saying and what you were trying to do, I don't know about you but my efforts were a waste of time.

I see no reason to support this in anyway shape or form.

I will no long support this project financially or any other way.

I have already investigated a better platform with better support and a much better group of moderators.

I had hopes for SME when Ruffdogs came along, however now seeing what has been happening around here
my conclusion is ....it's just not worth it anymore.

I find it impossible to support the concept of a newcomer being greeted in a piss poor manor...

Reasons don't count...

Any reasonable person can see the results in this thread.

There's no reason or excuse for it.....none....period...end of story....!!!!

There's better out there....

Have a good day all....

That's a contradiction. If there is no tonation in posts, then why are people interpreting posts as having tonation eg emotion/sarcasm or whatever it might be in each case.

I answered long ago that there was no sarcasm in my statement, and I believe as I'm the one who made the statement then I should know what I meant by it.
Everyone elses "version" of what I said is exactly that, it's their version, which as I have said earlier was not my mindset, it was their mindset.

Where do the likes of electroman00 & rkosiorek get the idea of saying they know what I said better than I know myself ???

As for electroman00 saying he's leaving, good riddance to a terribly critical person who did little more around here than whinge about things. I'd hate to be your wife !

I would say you don't have a wife.

I've been married for 33 years my friend, longer then you....

The fact you would even bring my wife into this, just shows what kind of a low life you really are.

You are correct Ray...it was a clerical error on my part. It is impossible to read tone into a post, but is possible to misinterpret or percieve. This is most often the case I see, but sometimes, it is just plain obvious that someone is going out of their way to be a dink.

I do not share company with electroman00 & rkosiorek and also wish them farewell as seem to want to continually perpetuate what was interpreted by them in this post.
