ALL PORTS CLOSED CHANGING FROM SERVER ONLY TO SERVER-GATEWAY SME7.3

I changed the configuration of a fresh install with all updates posted from SERVER-GATEWAY to SERVER-ONLY. I then changed it back to SERVER-GATEWAY, and all external ports were closed. I found no way of re-opening them other than a new, fresh install. I had tried to re-select SERVER-ONLY, reboot, and make the change again, but that did not work.

Any ideas? The problem is solved for me, but I think it still exists.

When you change from server only to server gateway, you need to set up the port forwarding you require as the server is now routing to/firewalling your network, so it needs to be told to open the ports.

To open the ports, go into the server-manager & click on port forwading which is under the security heading.

This is not correct.  In server/gateway mode all the appropriate ports are opened automatically on the external interface according to what services are enabled.  You shouldn't need to manually open anything.

This is not correct behavior and if this in fact happened then you should have opened a bug so this problem can be looked at.

Since you re-installed then opening a bug at this point is pretty much useless unless you can reproduce the problem.
