Good question

For screen pop/Outlook integration we recommend xtelsio because it just works and doesn't use any real-estate on the screen when it's idle.  For BLF type monitoring we use multi-button sip phones, for example Snom 320/360 and Aastra 55i/57i. 

We've played with Hudlite and we even contemplated bundling it into SAIL at one point, but in the end we simply didn't like it very much.  But don't let our taste put you off, Hud doesn't really interfere with SAIL because it does what it does by poking the Asterisk manager interface.  So if you have a basic knowledge of linux and asterisk, you can fit it yourself in a couple of hours.
