All translators, please read the wiki to see the changes in the way SME will be translate at

http://wiki.contribs.org/Translations#Latest_news_about_pootle_translations

and only if you are a language responsible, add your name here:

I´m trying to get all PT-BR translation errors fixed. had a lot of them!
I already put my name as responsable for PT-BR.

Using "Show Checks" I saw several other errors...
a) more detailed explanation on some messages... that´s difficult to track/discovery!
b) en-US became en_us... could the pt_BR be changed to pt_br by you??

There are a sintax checking to be sure a </p>  is correct... without a missing <,> or even the letter "p" ?

Would be nice if the errors page was generated daily... so we can change what´s inconsistent each day.
And would be even nicer if the .RPM for each translation was generated also daily... so I can use it on my servers and would be easier to find typos/bad translation/bad context errors.
Last time I tried the rpm generated (get from Bugzilla), it do not show the left panel to me, so I forgot it!

I know... a lot of work... but could enhance the quality of translation VERY quickly!

Thanks

Yes I know, but Shad give me a list with all the actual responsibles users and tell me for update the wiki with the information he was give me. If your prefer, you can edit and add your signature, but in some cases the user signature is not equal to the Pootle username.

a) Some errors can't fixed because there are differences between languages sintax. Ex. In english a question has only one quetion mark, and in spanish or portuguese (I think) has two "¿?"
b)Nope, ask Shad

Some sme panels are not correctly XML formated, so ignore these errors checks. Look at http://translate.sourceforge.net/wiki/guide/translation/commonerrors and http://translate.sourceforge.net/wiki/guide/pofilter_examples

If I am not wrong, I think this happens once a day

Jader, remember there are various dependancy for testing the new UTF-8 panels. See bug 4168

Thanks by reply.
I´ll do my best to correct typos.

I´ll manually change pt_BR to pt_br (just one search), but think when english expressions change all translations should became "suggestions" so we know it need to be evaluated again!

And generate RPM daily REALLY would improve/enhance translations.

Thanks

Jader, please revert the changes for language tags and leave alone. Then ask the question or suggestion at the bugtracker.

Please don't.  Those tags need to be in the format they are in so that translations work.  Besides the system will change them all back the next day.

This is exactly how things work.  If the english changes then anything that is close but not identical will kept but marked as fuzzy.  You will need to reveiw all fuzzy tags to ensure they are still correct.

No, it would just result in a lot of flip-flops of translations probably, only in the beginning translations will have a high change rate as they all need to be added, in the future they will change with a much lower frequency as not that many changes are made to the UI and locale(s).

The system in place at the moment is the best IMHO, anyone can translate and a few can review translations and confirm they are correct. After being approved they become available as patches and can be applied to the packages, but certainly not on a daily basis.

Sure. I agree with that. But till all typo/bad translation sintax got fixed would be nice to have a way to generate RPM (daily or by request of translation reponsable).

Anyways... do your best ... translators will do the same.
