Topic: Installing SME 7.3 on Asus P5B-VM Problem

hi,

i am trying to install sme 7.3 on asus p5b-vm with 160gb sata2 and asus ide cdrom, i have tried the sme pci=nommconf and only sme the problem is after loading the scsi driver, i get the question of "Installation Method" asking me if what type of media contains the package to be installed. any idea?

Another thing you need to be aware of.  SME7 does not support SATA2.  You must make sure the jumpers on the drives are set to SATA1 or you may experience problems, log errors and data loss.

i have change the jumper and insatalled it but i cant seems to get the buildin gigabit lan card to work any idea?

i have tired disabling the built-in lan card and installed davicom dm9102af but it wont start, error on boot eth0 and eth1 failed also i have tried acpi=off but i get this message disabling irq's any idea?
