Topic: Webmail opens login page then gives not found page

When I access web mail, I get the Log in page where I enter username and password but when I click Log in, I get -

Not Found

The requested URL /imp/redirect.php was not found on this server.

This works the same from LAN or WAN and whether I use IP, host name or FQDN.  I can send and receive email and both IMAP and POP work with other clients.

Any ideas?

I have the same problem.  As far as the bug report, there is nothing to report as I did nothing.  I believe the problem lies in an update.  I am running version 7.3 and yesterday ran the suggested updates and here I am.  So far 75% of the folks that use the in-house main system have filed into my office.

I would really appreciate help on this one.  I am setting up two other servers and networks and ... and I don't have time to redo this server.  Is there any way to revert the system back to before I updated?--similar to system restore of a certain legacy OS?

This is urgent and timely--please help.  Thanks so much.

Just a small ps to the above post:

I checked the posted bug report on this issue.  the www thing is not the issue as I am already aware of that being a problem.  I don't use www when accessing a locally hosted domain or mail service and have checked the client terminals.  I also checked the server config to make sure the update process didn't change anything and all is as it should be.  Hope that helps.  As I mentioned previously, all was working before the update and not working after the update.

So then there is a potential bug if your saying that your system was running OK before you did an update.

OK, no problem.  Please excuse my ignorance here:  What exactly do you want in the bug report?--Just a description of the problem?  Of course you would need error messages and what I was doing, but apart from that?

Thanks for your patience and time.  I'm fairly new at linux server platforms.  I'm stumbling uphill through a dense forest and can't find my glasses.  On top of that I have about 60 people depending on me at three locations with two linux servers and one windows 2003 server.

OK, no problem.  Please excuse my ignorance here:  What exactly do you want in the bug report?--Just a description of the problem?  Of course you would need error messages and what I was doing, but apart from that?

Yes please start with that, the rest, if needed will be requested and followed-up in the bugtracker as request are hard to make in advance, without knowing the problem. It depends on the situation.

Something you might always want to add are your server history and version(s) as well as the actions that might have lead to the error/problem or the way of reproducing it.

Please report the link to the bug in this thread for future reference if you have created the bug. Thanks.
