Topic: Equipment Tracking / helpdesk

I have a great need for something to track my technology equipment.  I've looked at a few "network management" softwares but the all seem to only be designed to work on a local LAN.  Nothing seems to be set up to track different types of technology and equipment in different locations and keep a history of the equipment for when its upgraded or moved or fixed.   

Does anyone have any suggestions on something.  I currently use www.zentrack.net to track my helpdesk work, it works very well for me, but it has no inventory modules to it.

I spent a small amount of time with this package and did not do full implementation. I don't think it will do remote sites but you may need to look. It requires a windows based pc. http://www.spiceworks.com/
