Topic: Modify squid.conf SME

Hi, I use SME 7.3.
I've tried modify the squid.conf, but it says a message "DO NOT MODIFY THIS FILE manual changes will be lost when this file is regenerated."
How can i modify this file without automatic regeneration on shutdown or restart ??

Hey,

read this chapter of the developers manual carefully.
http://wiki.contribs.org/SME_Server:Documentation:Developers_Manual#Configuration_file_templates

The templates for the squid.conf are located at
/etc/e-smith/templates/etc/squid/squid.conf/
But don't modify these template fragments. Instead create a new file (as described in the manual) under
/etc/e-smith/templates-custom/etc/squid/squid.conf/
