Request Entity Too Large when doing restore
« on: June 18, 2008, 07:46:18 PM »
Hi Everyone,
I backup from an old server.  The file is about 4.3GB.  I tried restore to a new fresh install server and it gives me "Request Entity Too Large".  Can anyone help me.  Below is the error.

Request Entity Too Large

The requested resource
/server-manager/cgi-bin/backup
does not allow request data with POST requests, or the amount of data provided in the request exceeds the capacity limit.

What I would do is put the smeserver.tgz file on to a USB Drive then when you go to install the new SME Server 7.3 it will ask you on the first initialization "Do you want to recover from backup" you can click yes and follow the rest of the on screen instructions... this way should work, if it doesn't then please post to the bug tracker.

The issue of 2GB/4GB issue using the backup panel within the server-manager is a long standing one.
