Topic: Admin receiving error email from subject /sbin/e-smith/check4updates -m

This is the contents of the email admin is receiving:

OSError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/var/run/yum.status'

This error email has only happened in the last three days and there have been no human user/admin initiated changes to the server.

Can someone offer any assistance as to what corrective action is required to resolve this problem.
