email domain conflict, please help

Hello there,

Basically I have a situation where there is two office branches on different part of the country using the same domain.  I believe the domain is hosted on the other branch.  The local branch I look after runs an e-smith server with the same domain entered into it.  I have setup the email to fetch mail off their ISP and esmith fetches and splits the email accordingly to the users e.g. user1@domain.co.nz, user2@domain.co.nz etc but when email is sent to the other branch e-smith bounces a message back saying the message hasn't gone through cause user does not exist on the e-smith server or something like that but in actual fact the mail has been sent through sucessfully.  I do not know what is the other branch network setup.  Is there a way to work around that bounce back message.
