I bought one of these units so I can test the HA stuff, but so far I haven't been able to register it with SAIL. I get the exclamation mark on the trunk. I have set it as FXO and followed the instructions from http://www.aelintra.com/docs/cgi-bin/view/Main/DocChapter2513.
My idea was that I could connect a line to the unit and set a new trunk in SAIL and dial/receive calls through it.

Sorry we missed this request.

We have an MVP-810 running here.  It;s just the same as your MVP-130 but with 8 Analogue ports.

Set-up is much the same as for the MVP-410 ISDN2E unit (which we've documented). 


First question, - is the MVP registering with Asterisk when you reboot it (the MVP, not asterisk).
Second question/observation...  The MVP uses the term outbound to refer to the Voip circuit (to asterisk) and inbound to refer to the analogue circuit (which is kind of the opposite to asterisk).

Thanks for the reply!
I found out through the Multitech Support that the model I have is an Avaya, so they sent me a new firmware which converted it to a MVP.
Now everything is gold!
All registered and working.

We've found the analogue Multitech gateways to be expensive, but top quality, with excellent sound characteristics.  The echo cancellation on them is particularly good.

Oh - btw...

We now have a live HA customer site.  It works really well.  Also - HA cutover on our MVP-810 is just about instantaneous.  Great for customer demos!

Hi Sel,
I'll be honest with you: today is my first step on succeeding on HA, I bough two identical systems with the Intel DG33BU mobo, and I just couldn't load centos on them
After a bios update and a couple of hacks on how grub loads the OS, I finally have the systems up and running.
Now I'll be able to test the HA stuff.

OK - you'll need the very latest releases.

I'll ship you 651 - it's got some other cool new stuff in it which you can also check out if you have time.

You'll also need the latest HA rpm - I'll get that to you also.
