Hello Everyone,

       I successfully installed SME 7.3 and I love it it is everything wrapped into one package awesome idea. However I have a dilema, I am using a system (PC Compatible) With a 160 gb hd as the primary and I have a 750 gb secondary drive which is where I would like to have all data and a backup of my 3 internal pcs kept is there a way to add the 750 gb to the mix easily?

Thanks,
Michael

Hi Michael,
Have you found these: AddExtraHardDisk and AddExtraHardDisk - SCSI in the wiki?

This is what I got when running the command but like I said I am new to this I don't have a clue, The Drive is an IDE 750 gb Seagate Barracuda.

fdisk -l

Disk /dev/hdb: 750.1 GB, 750156374016 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 91201 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

   Device Boot      Start         End      Blocks   Id  System
/dev/hdb1   *           1          13      104391   fd  Linux raid autodetect
/dev/hdb2              14       91201   732467610   fd  Linux raid autodetect

Disk /dev/sda: 160.0 GB, 160041885696 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 19457 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

   Device Boot      Start         End      Blocks   Id  System
/dev/sda1   *           1          13      104391   fd  Linux raid autodetect
/dev/sda2              14       19457   156183930   fd  Linux raid autodetect

Disk /dev/md1: 106 MB, 106823680 bytes
2 heads, 4 sectors/track, 26080 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 8 * 512 = 4096 bytes

Disk /dev/md1 doesn't contain a valid partition table

Disk /dev/md2: 159.9 GB, 159932219392 bytes
2 heads, 4 sectors/track, 39045952 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 8 * 512 = 4096 bytes

Disk /dev/md2 doesn't contain a valid partition table

Disk /dev/dm-0: 157.8 GB, 157873602560 bytes
2 heads, 4 sectors/track, 38543360 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 8 * 512 = 4096 bytes

Disk /dev/dm-0 doesn't contain a valid partition table

Disk /dev/dm-1: 2013 MB, 2013265920 bytes
2 heads, 4 sectors/track, 491520 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 8 * 512 = 4096 bytes

Disk /dev/dm-1 doesn't contain a valid partition table

It looks like to me it is already addded so now my question is how do I point an ibay to it?

Thanks,
Michael
