Really have no idea, but:
 - SME server is mainly planned to be used in a work environment
 - Uses a strange form of setup that works PERFECT with the compatible packages but most probably makes problem with strange stuff as your game server

Also for stability and having in mind that a game server is a potential risk id suggest to look in another direction, but not necesarily another server/computer...what i mean? use:
Vmware: http://wiki.contribs.org/Vmware
and download any linux appliance, or even install a windows in a virtual machine if you want, and play with that virtualized environment, you cant break your SME server in that way...and believe me, vmware is easier to use than what you think...but also have in mind that you can use this method to have a command line server, or one with extremelly crippled 3d environment, vmware isnt either prepared to run 3dfx (still)...also, just turning off the virtual machine you kill any security hole that the game can open...

Well there were contribs written for games like Counterstrike, Unreal and a couple of older games . Look them up then download the linux version of COD4 and instructions on how to load it then try it out on SME server and let us know how it turns out.
