cant access wrbit.com/webmail
« on: September 26, 2008, 02:40:23 AM »
I have just installed sme 7.3, I cant access www.wrbit.com/webmail.

I can access my website which is www.wrbit.com inside and outside my network. But i am not able to access webmail, inside or ouside of my network.

I do have wemail activated via server-manager.

Please help! I am a new user to SME 7, just a newby trying to learn.

Thanks ;)

Is there a router acting as a firewall, if so port 443 is probably not forwarded to the sme server.
Otherwise your ISP may be blocking port 443

Do a port scan test here:
http://www.grc.com/intro.htm

What mode is your server configured in ie server gateway, server only ?
What is your network arrangement ?
Please search before asking, an answer may already exist.

I do have a router, i will test port 443

The server is configured to "server only"

Network configuration is as follows... internet > modem> linsys firewall/router> sme server

from inside the network try:

http://your.server.ip.address/webmail

If the above works I would say it is the port forwarding issue.

This will only work if done from a machine that has the Server's IP address assigned to it. (You will have to unplug the server or shut it down and then assign the IP address it had to the workstation you are running the port scan from)
