I am not able to access wrbit.com/server-manager.

I get the 403 forbidden.

I have read the manual and followed the directions.

Which is how it should be.

I have read the manual and followed the directions.
Which directions?
Did you enter a IP from which the access should be enabled at the Security > Remote Access Panel?
Are you trying to access the server-manager from this IP?

Niklas

Excuse that statement about reading the directions. I have been tinkering with SME for about 3 days straight now.

I can access https://www.wrbit.com/server-manager locally.

I also can access https://99.184.156.107/server manager locally.

I am not able to do this outside of my local network, from work, wifi hot spots ect...

I did not enter an IP for remote management. Im guessing this is needed?

No need for a excuse, it's just easier for us to help you if you state more or less exactly what you did.

Yes, if you want to access the server-manager from a remote location you will need to do this. That shouldn't be a problem if you want to access with the same IP all the time.

If that's not the case you could establish a VPN connection to your server and this way gain access from the "local" network.

Two other ways are described in this thread:
http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=40894.0

The 1st one is to connect via SSH and use the text based server-manager access from the admin console. The 2nd one is a bit more complicated and needs SSH access as well but you will be able to access the server-manager with your standard browser.

Yes it did! I was under the impression that I could log into my server-manager from any location.

But it did solve my problem.

Do you have port 25 forwarded on the router?

I think you know how to test from your other thread.

EDIT: disregard, this should only apply to receiving. :???:

Have a look at the All mail to Yahoo is bouncing thread.
Do you have a dynamic IP adress?

The Dynamic IP is probably the issue.
Many providers reject mail coming from an dynamic IP.
From the wiki:
Quote
Internet provider's SMTP server: Normally the server will send outgoing messages directly to their intended destination. If, however, you have an unreliable connection or are using a residential Internet service, it may be advisable to route e-mail via your provider's SMTP server. In that case, you should enter the SMTP server's hostname or IP address here.

In fact, if you have a temporary dial-up connection to the Internet, you may find that you need to use your ISP's mail server in order to deliver mail to some locations. As a reaction to the huge volume of unsolicited commercial e-mail ("spam"), many Internet sites are refusing direct SMTP connections from IP addresses that are known to be temporary dial-up accounts. For this reason, you may need to use your ISP's mail server since it will have a permanent connection to the Internet.

So in the server-manager go to E-Mail > E-Mail Delivery and put in your ISP's mail server IP.

You have set up an MX record? If you do not have this set up you would not be able to receive mail.

-------------------
If your ISP is blocking Port 25 you would not be able to send mail.

Have you tried sending through your ISP's Mail server using this panel?

I have the IP set in the email delivery options, so far still no change..
