Must each user have his own individual logon and password?

I ask this because I do the same thing and it is easier just to implement a general ibay logon and pasword instead of trying to establish individual access.

I would recommend that you drop Andromeda (on freshmeat) into an ibay that is password protected (username will be the ibay name) as I have quite happily been running a streaming and downloadable mp3 directory that way for months, best of all, it is really really easy for a linux newbie like me to get going :)

I use Andromeda also the only problem with using Andromeda authentication is that I can type the path to your ibay in my web browser and download tracks without looging in. This is why you should use your system ibay logon and password.
