Either badhelo or wbl contrib isnt working
« on: October 07, 2008, 11:27:36 PM »
Dont know how to check wich one is failing but i keep receiving mail from a server with a HELO message banned in the badhelo list, maybe im doing it wrong, somewhere i read that i can use partials as long as i dont get too much rejected, in this example the server have a HELO of:

mail.globalmedia-news.com

and i have set badhelo as:

globalmedia-news.com

if that is wrong how can i set it up with wildcards? because there are a lot of instances where it is usefull (using "whatever.com" or even just "whatever" (if it is a brand) instead of mail1.whatever.com and mail2.whatever.com)

Sidenote: badmailfrom does work and im using it now but sometimes 3-4 lines of badmailfrom can be converted on just one badhelo...

Maybe there is something extra to activate the badhelo cheking, if so, what?

If not, what should i look to check what is wrong?

Should i raise a bug?

Pleas post the relevant log/mail headers and do not paraphrase. You do not give us very much to diagnose.

The mail headers/logs should tell the story as Catus says.

I see you are assuming that badhelo is not working with the partial HELO, have you tried it with the full HELO to see if it works at all?
