Problem with DAR2
« on: October 09, 2008, 03:24:51 AM »
Hi

I am have problems creating a backup using the DAR2 contrib

I have been reading the Dar2 topics in this forum but haven't been able to find a hint that I can use as a solution

From what I have read DAR2 is breaking partway though the process (which I am guessing is why USB is left mounted) but I have no idea why.  Below I have included as much info as i can.

I have reinstall, run the update, installed dar2 then tried again but the result is the same.

If you can please Help

I have stripped down the included selection, I did this as a test but the results where the same as the default selection

Hi

Problem solved, installed on a different box then updated and formatted USB disk, reinstalled DAR2 and now everything is working.  I had tried this before without reformatting the drive so my best guess is there is a hardware issue with the USB bus that has messed up the USB disk somehow.

Thanks

Peter
