I decided it was time to use sme7admin-1.1.0-5. I had used sme7admin-1.1.0-1 for a long time (and sme6admin before that), but as noted by many, it is partially broken.
I started with a patched-up SME fresh install. I have the following installed:
rrdtool-1.2.28-1.el4.rf
perl-rddtool-1.2.28-1.el4.rf
hddtemp-0.3-0.beta15.1.el4.rf
sysstat-5.0.5-19.el4
and of course sme7admin-1.1.0-5.
Based on what I had grown to expect in the old version, I am now not receiving daily Spam Filter Statistics emails and the graphs are not populated. However, the System Services buttons are all present again.
I have found the original sme7admin-1.1.0-1 instructions which use old RRDTOOL versions seemingly specific to sme7admin-1.1.0-1. I have read that sme7admin-1.1.0-5 is compatible with the RRDTOOL 1.2 versions. I have not read that sme7admin is sensitive to SYSSTAT versions.
The various threads related to this subject seem to be either directed to the old sme7admin-1.1.0-1 or to unclear combinations of the old and new.
I could use step-by-step instructions on how to have sme7admin-1.1.0-5 work, including specific dependencies if required.
