Egroupware & Funambol
« on: December 09, 2008, 03:09:09 PM »
Hi,
I have installed Egroupware 1.4.004 on SME 7.4 - with PHP5 path solution for Egroupware.

When going to URL
https://192.168.11.7/egroupware/rpc.php

I get:

You should access this URL only with a SyncML enabled device.

I guess this means that Egroupware & SME should then be compatible with Funambol.

I have installed Dunambol on a Vista machine running Outlook 2007.
When trying the sync the calendar, I get a error.
Here is the log:

I think the error might be on the client side as the server certainly is not Windows ;-)

Perhaps the /var/log/httpd/access_log and /var/log/httpd/error_log on the server also contain some clues?

Hi,
I get the following on SME access_log when trying to connect from Vista / Outlook / Funambol:

sm.fr 192.168.11.5 - - [10/Dec/2008:15:07:48 +0100] "POST /egroupware/rpc.php HTTP/1.1" 302 223 "-" "Funambol Outlook Plug-in v. 7.0.7"

Nothing in the error_log file.

OK,

So I set up a testing box in VM, with XP and it does not work.

domain.local 192.168.1.12 - - [06/Jan/2009:09:26:07 +1100] "POST /egroupware/rpc.php HTTP/1.1" 302 224 "-" "Funambol Outlook Plug-in v. 7.0.7"

No error logs in httpd-errors. Might be the plug-in version etc.

I could never get this to work, but as of SME Server 7.4 you can now use Funambol to sync with Horde itself.
