Admin login broken
« on: January 06, 2009, 10:59:17 AM »
Hi,

Since a few days I cannot anymore log in as "admin". Not by the web interface and also not by ssh.
By ssh I can login as root and type "su admin". But it does not work:
Code: [Select]
su: /sbin/e-smith/console: Permission deniedBefore this used to work fine. Think this is quite strange. Any ideas what the problem could be?

No idea where to start debugging the problem...

Just did a "yum update" logged is by ssh as root. A lot of packages have been updated, but also after a restart the problem still remains

Oops... forgot the "signal-event post-upgrade". Still a bloody SME server beginner.

After a "signal-event post-upgrade" and  "signal-event reboot" all works fine.

Many many thanks
