Hi,

I'm trying to install BitDefender for mail servers from

http://myezserver.com/BitDefender/smeserver/3.0.0/

unfortunately installation stops with this error:

Please enter "accept" if you agree to the License Agreement.
Enter anything else if you don't agree to the terms in the License Agreement.
The installation process will stop.
accept
You need /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.5 in order to run BitDefender
Installation aborted.
Please visit http://kb.bitdefender.com for more information
or contact support@bitdefender.com

On BitDefender knowledge base the solution says that  it is needed  compat-libstdc++-33 file to run ok.

http://kb.bitdefender.com/KB415-en--Installation-errors-on-Fedora-Core-systems.html

"yum install compat-libstdc++-33" do not work on SME 7.4 like the is no such file there.

So the question is if there is this file somewhere in the other SME repositories or I need it to install it via official CentOS repository?
Are there any incompatibility issues beetween CentOS and SME in that case?

SME is CentOS (speaking about rpms).. so, if the rpm you have found is for CentOS 4.7, it should work..

That command should work as  compat-libstdc++-33 is listed as a package in CentOS's os repository, which is the base repository on SME Server. On my test server it installs without problems. Are you sure you have the repositories configured correctly as listed here: http://wiki.contribs.org/SME_Server:Documentation:FAQ#Which_repositories_should_be_enabled
