respawning too fast on a 7.4 sme virtualized
« on: February 03, 2009, 07:01:01 AM »
Using CentOS x_6 4 for a base of virtualization with XEN on a Dell 2950 server and a Full virtualized sme 7.4. Before the sme finish its first boot, the message "respawning too fast...5 minutes" appears just after the mysql setting up and it stays on, so i have to do a coold boot (ctrl+alt+del) to restart and it stops again with the message. What do i have to do or don't do to exit the loop in the virtualized sme?

I think your best bet would be to launch a bug in the bugtracker. After you have done so please post back a reference to the bug for future readers.

Why are you trying to install SME Server as a fully virtualized Xen instance?  SME Server(Centos) will install and run as a para-virtualized xen instance, especially if you are installing directly from the xen repos.

It looks to me like you don't have proper access to the disk volume where you are trying to install SME.

This is not a bug with SME Server, but an issue with virualization.

Moving to General Discussion forum.

For the First answer is that first i tried to install as it is but some hardware wasn't fully suportted an for what i use it is like a private server only, the second coment from gzartman, then if it is not a bug, then why sme 7.3 do not give any problem until i upgrade it?
