Hi,
What are the options I have to make sure my SME runs at 100%, I'm currently running imaged disks but I wanted to make sure the system always run. I'm buying another identical machine (HP Proliant) in a attempt to have these systems working side-by-side.

Any input on this case is very welcomed.

It depends on what type of services you are running.

For example, if you need to balance out web serving load, you could use a technique called DNS Round-robin.

If it is a Samba File/PDC server, then the second server could be a BDC server or it could host user profiles or homes for example.

It all depends on what you want to do.

Hi,
I'm just running the regular services provided by SME as server-only, I have set up an IPcop Firewall in front of it to protect the network and provide VPN.
I was looking for a solution to have the services "always" running, instead of balancing them in more servers. In case the server goes down, the backup system goes up.

try to read this.. take it as a starting point.. then search for centos and HA.. you should find many examples..
