How to add necessary repositories to handle dependencies for gnuplot package...

Running SME 7.4 fully updated

I am attempting to run advanced stock tracker (http://advancedstocktracker.org/) on SME and have run into a snag due to dependencies for the necessary package gnuplot. I have tried installing all recommended Contribs.org suggested SME repositories yet they do not suffice. I also have tried to add livna, freshrpms, and epel repositories. For these last three, I do not believe I completely added them correctly. I ran the rpms provided by the respective sites to import the GPG keys and add the repositories into yum.repos.d. It appeared to be a successful install, as files were placed in the expected directories, save the fact that the repositories were never found upon a yum install while using --enablerepo=reponame. As the install of these were vastly different from the installation described within the contribs.org suggested repositories, I feel that I am using an incorrect approach to installing a third party repo on SME. Please direct me to a substantial repo or describe the proper means of accessing these other repositories as I am sure livna has the necessary files. Any help is always much appreciated.

A search of the wiki would have found this, so it's a good idea to look around before asking as many questions have already been answered.

Please search before asking, an answer may already exist.

Firstly, Thank You Mary..
I honestly hope that I am not repeating the same error from my last post but part of the delay to repsponding this time was due to what I understand to be a thorough search. I have installed the recommended repositories and was wrong about livna having the necessary rpms.. I am still looking for gnuplot. I have directed my efforts to attempting to compile the program from source. From what I have found, I believe the next steps are to get the source code (http://www.gnuplot.info/download.html), install dev tools onto a test sme server of like kernel (looked on 7.4 cd and tried to install the devtools rpm. it returned that there was nothing to update.. I must be missing something), './configure', then 'make', then somehow convert the program into a self sufficient rpm.. I am lost as to how to do this.. Should there be a single page, again, that describes this, my search abilities have managed to miss this. Essentially, I am in need of the method to creating a proper development server (I have it off of the internet.. it is a completely re-makable box on which I can test indiscriminately without regard to crashes and potential security threats.. I'll just reinstall or initialize everything if need be) and how to transfer made packages to my production server... It is really amazing how much one can serendipitously find off such a seemingly simple task.. Or then again maybe I'm just owning newbieness. Please help and again apologies for the possible weak search..

I looked a little further and saw the development/tools section on the CD in full and saw a slew of other rpms to use for development and none of them update installed package.. I have this server relatively vanilla (save an SMF forum). Shouldn't these development tools not be on this installation. I read over and over about the security risk but it seems these were installed initially. When I try to compile the source, I, however, am still missing gcc, cc, and cl.exe.. Non of which are on the installation cd. Am I off with this? The more I dig the wider the whole seems to get..

What repositories have you tried using? IIRC dag has the package you are looking for.

Compiling stuff is a last resort, and not something that you should approach lightly.

The gnuplot package or the compiling packages?.. I am a little unclear.. I've tried DAG Weirs, ATRPMs.. all of the repositories from the contribs website..
