what do you mean by attach ? there is no attach button.

nothing happens when i type: /sbin/e-smith/audittools/templates
when i type: /sbin/e-smith/audittools/newrpms ,, i see the output on screen.

if the reconfiguration will not work, then raise a Bug as suggested

no problem.., maybe a step by step guide on wiki about setup SAMBA + windows xp or vista (fresh installs) is good.

Simple thing to check first:
On your LAN connection in Vista, do you have the 'client for microsoft networks' installed and ticked?

why? lol...



i am now running a fresh installation of windows xp and it works, i later found that the problem was that i had unabled : NetBios over TCP/IP....reason why i couldnt see SME7 server . something to do with name resolution or i am off track here..

Disabling NetBIOS could well have caused your original problem.
