POP/IMAP Email retrieve - slow connecting when internal only

Conneting to the server using Outlook Express with pop or imap is slow only when on the internal network.

When I try to connect it  says "connecting" for about 20 seconds and the it proceeds to retrieve the mail.
Externaly there is no issue using pop/imap or web mail.

Also this may be related - FTP access is also slow on the internal network when connecting.

Hope there is an answer I have tryed heaps of things with no luck.

Client OS is Win XP Pro. running as workgroup. browsing folders on the server is not a problem.- Fast -

Paul,

Go to the "bugs" page and read the bug that says "ISP DHCP response corrupts resolver configuration". Implement the workaround.
