Sail Versions
« on: April 15, 2009, 11:17:45 AM »
Hi S

I am currently running http://sarkpbx.com/sail/sail-2.2.1/sail-2.2.1-745.noarch.rpm and would like to know if I can upgrade to http://sarkpbx.com/sail/sail-2.3.1/ without any problems?

Is this possible?
Regards

I have already done some research and only ask questions if I still can't work it out.

In theory; yes.  In practice; hold off just a little longer.  We still have a few bugs we are working out of 2.3.  My own view is that it will be stable in about 2 weeks (at whetever release number we have then).

Best

Just wondering would you and the development team consider it safe to upgrade to http://sarkpbx.com/sail/sail-2.3.1/ at this time?

2.3.1-4 is pretty stable.  Only problem we know of is that Asterisk 1.4.23 seems to be broken for *8 type call-pickup.  Digium have fixed the bug in the svn trunk and released 1.4.24 but ATrpms haven't caught up yet.

2.3.1-6 is in test but won't be available to download until we've given it a shakedown.  It's a big release with a lot of AGI optimization in it.

Best

S

Thanks S

The way I will read that is wait a bit longer.  Can I assume that is would be safe with 2.3.1-7?

Nothing is certain in this life but death and taxes but yes, I think -7 should be close.
