Topic: Cups support for printing

hello

i install cups on sme 7.x i can print from inside the lan over 631 port but i cannot print over wan to the
same port i open the 631 port on my router but still i get rejected from my sme .
i also op
config set cups service access public status disable TCPPort 631
/sbin/e-smith/signal-event cups-upgrade
by the way i configure the printer to print via Device URI: parallel:/dev/lp0 i need to connect to the printer
from windows xp over the internet via url: http://mydomainname:631/printers/myprintername
from the local adress its work via url: http://local:631/printers/myprintername

I suggest you setup VPN instead of opening ports to the outside network as everyone would be able to print on your printer once they connect to it. VPN allows users from outside to login and be connected as if they were in your local network.

howto open sme 7.3 for allows to all to send to my printer from network inside the lan
