Sftp over port 10022?
« on: April 28, 2009, 08:44:28 PM »
I need to allow outbound connections over port 10022 to an sftp server, I cant find a way to do this?  Is this port redirection or?

Also i have many other sites that need to be able to hit 8080 or 8443 do I need to do something for each site?

hi..

first of all, no crystal ball here, so you should tell us how is your server configured (server only? server and gateway?)
then, is the sftp server running on SME or is it running on another machine? and, again, are the sites on SME?

finally, remember you cna not forward the same EXTERNAL port to many servers..

Ciao
Stefano

p.s. please take some time to read the documentation ;-)

The server is a private server and gateway.

The sftp server is external to our network (its on the internet)

I tried understanding what I should be doing to open 8080 for websites but I cant seem to find it is that what you call a redirect.  These are all outside sites.

Thank you.

if the services you are talking about are external to your lan, I can't understand what's your problem..
SME doesn't block any kind of outbound traffic
