Goal: Map the ibay called "hr" on a PC used by a user in the group assigned to the ibay on the server. Workgroup not domain.

CREATED GROUP called humanresources and added the users.

I made a group called humanresources with three users including me, who are responsible for the drive

Created IBAY as follows:
Information bay name     hr
Description     Human Resources Web
Group    Human Resources Web (humanresources)
User access via file sharing or user ftp    group=write, everyone=read
Public access via web or anonymous ftp    local network (no password required)
Execution of dynamic content (CGI, PHP, SSI)    enabled

I have read and researched all day and searched everything I can and can't get a simple mapping of the ibay called hr to connect. I also tried to map a drive for my personal login and it also doesn't take the password.

WINSCP WORKS
I can get to it with winscp using sftp but I need to map the drive because adobe acrobat needs to place the files directly where they will reside. I can do this if I use admin and the password for admin.

On the PC I used the normal procedure for mapping a network drive
When using the map network drive function I use the \\ipaddress\hr and select the login using different user where I put in serveripaddress\myuserid and my password. I also tried using the directory name and password that I set for the ibay. Neither take the password. I find that I can't login to my normal user share either.

We are not using a domain structure. I also checked the settings on the remote access to make sure I hadn't disabled any access.

That should be working, are you sure you entered the correct password?

Yes, that is what has me stumped. After reading the forums and double checking everything, I agree it should be working. Is there a command I can use at the CL to check connectivity or such. The thing that seems to be important is that I can us admin with the root password and it maps just fine.

Didn't work. It just keeps popping up and asking for the password. But that does work with the Admin login. Should I do anything with permissions for that Directory? I was thinking of setting the group ownership or somthing like that from the command line. But I shouldn't have to do that right? I did also try creating another group following the same process and had the same results.
