Multiple SME Servers on different HW as BDCs?

Given that the majority of our users are WinXP clients and we're looking really to have domain functionality, is it possible to have multiple domain controllers replicating information using the SME server architecture in order to enable redundancy?

Work is done on it AFAIK but I am not sire if it is fully implemented ATM. Have a look here: http://wiki.contribs.org/Advanced_Samba
Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it.
